I see a beautiful city.... and a brilliant people, rising from this abyss..... I see the lives, for which I lay down my life - peaceful, useful, prosperous and happy..... I see that I hold a sanctuary in their hearts, and in the hearts of their descendants, generations hence..... It is a far, far better thing that I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest that I go to, than I have ever known......

Scribble #3: Breaching the barrier...

I finally managed to breach the 100 sec barrier of Minesweeper-Expert field yesterday night.

3BV of the entire minefield above = 136 + 12 = 148
3BV measure (abbreviated from Bechtel's Board Benchmark Value) is the measure of difficulty of a minesweeper field.
3BV/sec = 148/(98-1) = 1.526
Flagging style was used to mark the mines.
But I still regret the missed chance of sweeping the field within 91 secs due to Mine probability problem for the last mine, just a few minutes before I finished this one.

Photo Blog #1

Last week the Hinjewadi Traffic Police came up with a very innovative idea for avoiding commuters/drivers from running down temporary road dividers and barriers: To protect the barriers using potted plants. Obviously their reasoning was that one will think twice before hitting the small plants.

Obviously they were mistaken. The drivers in Pune won't even spare these poor souls. As a result these plants were moved to a safer place sometime during over the weekend.
